Achieving Compliance and Quality in Medical Devices for 2026

As we begin 2026, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the journey of CJ & L Consultancy Ltd over the past year and share my outlook for the year ahead.
2025 was a pivotal year for the business. It was a year where clients placed their trust in my experience to support them in achieving critical objectives, and where CJ & L Consultancy Ltd continued to strengthen its mission: supporting start-ups and scaling organisations as they enter and grow within the medical device sector, while also building strong foundations in information security and cyber compliance.
At the earliest stages of establishing the business, it was the support of my professional network and trusted connections that enabled CJ & L Consultancy Ltd to take its first steps. Without that encouragement and belief, the opportunity to work with my first clients would not have been possible. As the business grew, exploring new routes to market became essential. Partnerships with Cognidox and visibility through Cambridge Network helped to open new opportunities, leading to further client engagements. With the support of one such client, CJ & L Consultancy Ltd also became an approved supplier to the University of Cambridge — a milestone that marked an important step in the company’s development.
Throughout 2025, I gained a deeper understanding of the projects, sectors, and challenges where CJ & L Consultancy Ltd delivers the greatest value. This clarity has enabled focused planning for 2026. The core streams of work now centre on medical devices, encompassing both hardware and software, alongside the implementation of effective Quality Management Systems. This includes eDMS and eQMS solutions for start-ups, scaling businesses, and organisations seeking to transition away from SharePoint or other inefficient systems.
Alongside quality and regulatory support, the business has continued to expand its capability in information security and data protection. CJ & L Consultancy Ltd now provides established, practical support for compliance with UK and EU GDPR, HIPAA, and Cyber Essentials (Basic and Plus), as well as guidance for organisations implementing Information Security Management Systems aligned with ISO 27001.
As 2025 drew to a close, discussions were already underway for new projects with prospective clients, alongside continued support for existing partnerships. Looking ahead to 2026, I am excited about the opportunities to further grow CJ & L Consultancy Ltd as a trusted partner for medical device companies and organisations seeking to strengthen their cyber and information security posture.
There will also be exciting announcements in the coming weeks regarding new partnerships and collaborations, aimed at enhancing delivery and supporting organisations in achieving certification to ISO 13485, ISO 27001, and other internationally recognised standards.
Thank you to all clients, partners, and collaborators who have been part of this journey so far. I look forward to continuing to work together in the year ahead.
